Feature and Follow Friday #1 {Choosing What To Read Next}

3:00 PM

Feature Follow is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee at Parajunkee's View and Alison at Alison Can Read.

This will give everyone the opportunity to not only gain followers, but also meet more bookish people and share the book love!

*For those who would like to follow me (thank you!), please do so through either GFC or Bloglovin'! I will make sure to follow all of you!*

This week's question, as suggested by So Many Books, So Little Time, is:

How do you decide what books to read?
Now, I don't really have a specific way for choosing what I read. Heck, most of the time I don't even know what I'm in the mood to read. I just go with my gut and pick out something random. Aside from special occasions in which there might be a new release that I've been highly anticipating or in cases where I have ARCs that I need to get to. It all just depends.
 How about you guys? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. I'm always thinking ahead and have the next 3 or 4 books in mind...sometimes I change my mind, though. Thanks for stopping by. I'm following via Feedly.

  4. I'm pretty random in my book picks too, other than keeping up on ARCs and review requests. Sometimes I'm in the mood for a particular genre or something often times I'll go by cover or name, whatever draws my attention at the time.

  5. Great answer! I try to plan out my books at least for the following week but that's mostly because I always have ARC's that I've got to get read by a certain date. I keep a spreadsheet to track this & it helps keep me from going crazy :)

  6. I often use my mood to decide, but if not, I kinda use your way--picking up something random or buy new books :)

  10. I always start with my ARCs but I love the idea of just picking something up at random like that. Less structured and more enjoyment. I like it. New GFC and Bloglovin follower.

    1. I completely agree! Usually, whenever I try and stick to a TBR, I end up in a reading slump because of how restrained I feel!

      I just followed you on GFC and Bloglovin'! Your blog is lovely :)

  11. I normally read whatever book my calendar tells me to read because I'm trying to get down on my ARCs but if I don't have any ARCs to read, then I just pick something that I feel like from the shelf.
