This week's question, as suggested by So Many Books, So Little Time, is:
How do you decide what books to read?
Now, I don't really have a specific way for choosing what I read. Heck, most of the time I don't even know what I'm in the mood to read. I just go with my gut and pick out something random. Aside from special occasions in which there might be a new release that I've been highly anticipating or in cases where I have ARCs that I need to get to. It all just depends. How about you guys? Let me know in the comments below!
I'm always thinking ahead and have the next 3 or 4 books in mind...sometimes I change my mind, though. Thanks for stopping by. I'm following via Feedly.
ReplyDeleteI find it so difficult o stick to a specific tbr! And no problem!
DeleteGoing with your gut is a good way of choosing! There's more chance of you loving what you pick I think :)
ReplyDeleteFollowing via GFC, Twitter & Bloglovin'. Thanks for visiting my blog! :)
I agree! Thank you for following! :)
DeleteThat is a good idea Sophie! I should definitely do that more often. Thank you for stopping by. :)

Thanks for following back! :)
DeleteI'm pretty random in my book picks too, other than keeping up on ARCs and review requests. Sometimes I'm in the mood for a particular genre or something often times I'll go by cover or name, whatever draws my attention at the time.

Thanks for stopping by! :)
DeleteGreat answer! I try to plan out my books at least for the following week but that's mostly because I always have ARC's that I've got to get read by a certain date. I keep a spreadsheet to track this & it helps keep me from going crazy :)

I've seen a lot of people say that they use a spreadsheet. I'm going to have to try that method!
DeleteThanks for following back! :)
Your welcome :) & I just followed u on Google+ as well! My spreadsheet helps me keep my sanity LOL I've recently signed up for some summer blog tours so I added in that element to track too, it's so helpful! Thanks for stopping by my blog :)
DeleteI often use my mood to decide, but if not, I kinda use your way--picking up something random or buy new books :)

Deletei rarely get times to pick these days. But I surely can't rely on a TBR jar. Thanks for stopping by. Following you back :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!

Hi! Thanks for following! I just followed you back. :)
DeleteI always start with my ARCs but I love the idea of just picking something up at random like that. Less structured and more enjoyment. I like it. New GFC and Bloglovin follower.

I completely agree! Usually, whenever I try and stick to a TBR, I end up in a reading slump because of how restrained I feel!
DeleteI just followed you on GFC and Bloglovin'! Your blog is lovely :)
I normally read whatever book my calendar tells me to read because I'm trying to get down on my ARCs but if I don't have any ARCs to read, then I just pick something that I feel like from the shelf.
