The Make Me Read It Read-A-Thon

7:32 PM
The Make Me Read It Read-A-Thon is hosted by Val at The Innocent Smiley & Ely at A Book So Fathomless! It will run for a whole week, starting July 20th and ending on July 27th.

I rarely ever join read-a-thons because they tend to stress me out more than I can handle, but I'm trying to change that. And I think this one is overall just a fabulous idea! Especially because of those books that you bought and have been meaning to read for a long time but haven't yet due to time constraints and/or the overwhelmingly awesome amount of books that keep getting released. I'm determined to do as best as I can with this one.

If you guys would like to enter, just click the lovely ladies' links at the top of this post!

Look at the books you own, either physical, e-book or ones you've borrowed from the library and pick out a few you really want to read, or feel like you should read. It’s up to you how many you pick, personally I'd pick a few more than you expect to be able to read in a week. Example: if you think you’ll only read two, pick out five books or if you think you can read seven, pick out ten.
Make a list of these books on your blog, or make a video, or a Goodreads shelf or post a picture on Instagram—whatever is easiest for you. Then get friends, other bloggers/booktubers etc. to vote on which books you HAVE to read.
When the read-a-thon comes along, you read the books in the order of most votes. For example, if one book gets 10 votes—you read that first, then the one that got 7 and so on. If there's a tie, then it's your preference. The goal is to read as many as possible.

As stated above, the fate of my reading during the extent of that week will be in YOUR hands! I've created a poll with 12 possible options from which you will pick 6! Those with the most votes will be the books I'll read.

*poll is closed*

  3. I haven't read most of these, but I've heard great things about several, including Red Queen and Dorothy Must Die, so those got my votes. :)
