Feature and Follow Friday #2 {How do you organize your shelves?}

8:58 PM

Feature Follow is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee at Parajunkee's View and Alison at Alison Can Read.

This will give everyone the opportunity to not only gain followers, but also meet more bookish people and share the book love!

*For those who would like to follow me (thank you!), please do so through either GFC or Bloglovin'! I will make sure to follow all of you!*

This week's question, as suggested by Unconventional Book Views is:

How do you organize your books? Either at home on your bookshelves or on your reading-device, or on your bookish platform like Goodreads, Leafmarks or Booklikes.

By title, by author, by color, there are a ton of ways to organize bookshelves. However, I don't have a specific way of organizing mine. As long as I keep things neat and tidy, I don't really mind not having a precise organization code for my books. Although I've recently run out of shelf space thus I'm having to stack them on my desk. I'm counting on solving that problem quite soon, though!

 How about you guys? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. Thanks for the follow! Nice meeting you! :)

    As written in my post, I only sort according to series, but that's all. :)

    1. Hey no problem and thanks for following back! Oh and nothing extravagant really, I'm just going to purchase some wall shelves instead of another bookcase! :)

  3. When I didn't have enough space for my books I had them sorted rather haphazardly. Now that I do have space, though, I need them in good order or it gets on my nerves. I have them split into genres and organized alphabetically by author.

    1. I know the feeling. I'm running out of space too so I really need to get them all sorted or else I'll go crazy! I'll possibly do the same and place them alphabetically by author.

  4. As long as it makes sense to you, then organize your books the way you want it. XD Like I do.

  5. Yea I am pretty contempt as long as my shelves are tidy. I get mad when the kids wanna stack their trash and miscellaneous stuff all over them! I aswell am running out of book shelve space, have about 10+ books stacked around, and am hoping that means I will get motivated to reorganize. I really wanna organize by genre then author, then series or stand-alone. We'll see though because I also really, really wanna create a rainbow shelf! Who knows which will win.
    Thanks for stopping by over @ Hearts Reading. Followed back via BlogLovin, Google+, and GFC :)

    1. I understand the struggle. I mean, I love the look of rainbow shelves, but I just don't know if I can really stick to it! Good luck with your organizing!

  7. I'm not particular about the way I arrange my books either; so long as they are within reach and at my disposal ha ha! New follower <3

  8. I'm a bit of a fuss post when it comes to organising anything, so naturally I'm just as bad with all my bookshelves. I tend to sort my size, which is really annoying when you've got a few different sized books in the one series and they all end up on different shelves. I should pull them off the shelves and start sorting by series. No wonder I can't find anything :D
